Integrated Additives at the Extrusion Stage
Protection starts with the raw polypropylene resin, which is transformed into the separate weaving tapes. High-performance UV stabilizing additives are also accurately added to the resin mix, and then the tape is stretched and woven. These additives are efficient as they absorb the harmful UV light energy and do not allow it to damage the polymer chains. This is quite unlike surface treatments, where protection is superficial, and thus the whole thickness of all the woven strands is uniformly covered.
Guaranteed Retention of Tensile Strength
The main objective of UV stabilization is to reduce the aging effect of the cloth. Normal FIBCs may lose up to half their tensile strength in a few months of intense exposure to sunlight. Our Anti-UV Jumbo Bags are designed in such a way that they can maintain the minimum specified percentage of their original tensile strength after a period of exposure (e.g., 6, 9, or 12 months, depending on the level of additives). This is because this is a guarantee that the original SWL of the bag will be reliable during its intended lifecycle.
